About Me.

Hi! I'm Olivia Wesling, a visual effects artist and editor with a BFA from the Savannah College of Art and Design.

I fell in love with animation in high school when I took an animation elective and discovered how much I enjoyed the creativity and the patience the work demands. I was obsessed with Marvel at the time, fascinated by how they built fantastical worlds and made them feel seamless. I started college planning to be an animator, but I soon realized visual effects offered a wider range of tools for bringing imaginary worlds to life.

Outside of class, my friends and I made silly videos just for fun, and that's when I realized what I really love: making people laugh. Today, my goal is to use visual effects and editing to create work that puts a smile on someone's face.

Magic is what I'm after, whether that's in a VFX shot, an edit, or a charcoal portrait. Drawing portraits in graphite and charcoal has trained my eyes to notice how light falls, where shadows gather, and which small details make an image feel real. I bring that same attention to every shot I build.

Most recently, I interned on the set of The Chosen, working in the art office and alongside the prop team. I cut and prepared many gauze props for the production, and on shoot day I swapped them out between every take so they looked clean and consistent on camera. Keeping continuity like that showed me how much goes into running a set smoothly, and it taught me to think on my feet and be someone the team can count on.
